A little bit about me...

I originally started my working life in children's TV production and film in the UK.  I was a production assistant for a few years but always managed to end up drawing some of the storyboards or designing a prop here and there for shows like Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Fireman Sam.  It was when I was working in London that I met my Kiwi husband and he whisked me off to New Zealand! I managed to work for a few years at Weta Digital in Wellington as a digital modeler on films like Rise of The Planet of the Apes and the Hobbit.

 

It's been an amazing road so far and now I'm starting a new adventure in becoming an artist and illustrator.  I have a severe chronic illness that has prevented me from continuing my work in the film industry, so becoming a freelance artist allows me to manage my condition and still be able to do what I love.

I paint and draw in a wide range of styles and different mediums but my work seems to always gravitate to the natural world and characters from myths and legends. I'm a storyteller at heart and I try to reflect that in my work.
